With the ongoing Covid-19 Pandemic, we realize that you will likely have worries and questions going into the 2021 wedding season.
Rules, and protocols are changing all the time, but we wanted to create this small FAQ where we can hopefully answer a few of your questions. If you have any further questions please feel free to contact Marge or Brittany at info@sydenhamridgeestate.com
It is our number one priority to make sure that our couples feel comfortable and safe going into their wedding day.
What is your wedding going to look like this year?
• Currently (as of November 2020), ceremonies are able to accommodate up to 100 people (not including wedding vendors or hired professionals: DJ, officiant, photographer, etc.)
• Reception capacities are no more than 50 people (again, wedding vendors/staff not included in this count)
• Currently liquor sales and service must end at 11pm
• Guests must wear masks inside the reception barn when moving around
• No more than 6 guests per dinner table
• Dancing is permitted, as long as guest stay within their own social circles
• Buffet service is not currently permitted, dinner must be a plated meal, or family style.
What is Sydenham Ridge doing in their part to flatten the curve?
We have hand sanitizer throughout the property and at every entrance to any building. Staff will be masked at all times.
Staff will be sanitizing and cleaning surfaces more frequently.
Blue Bungalow and Log Cabin are very well cleaned and sanitized between rentals, as well as all shared spaces on the property (Blue Barn, Reception Barn, Washrooms, Smoking Area, Etc.)
Is there a reduction in the rental fee if I’m only able to have 100 people for a ceremony and 50 people for a reception?
Unfortunately, we are not reducing the rental fee. We do not rent the property out based on the number of attendants to a wedding or event.
How do I choose who to invite to my wedding now that the numbers are reduced?
We are encouraging our couples to get creative in how they celebrate their wedding. You can only have 50 guests inside the reception barn at one time, but perhaps you can invite some people to your rehearsal dinner party prior to your wedding. Consider having a brunch the day after your wedding with another set of guests. You have the property for multiple days, we are here to help you come with ways to utilize it! Our couples this past year have had great success in multiple day events!
